Greetings from Munich Catholic Physicians in Germany,

Dear Catholic medical fellows and priests in Europe and in all over the world,

yesterday began the worldwide "Year of the Faith", proclaimed by Pope Benedict XVI.

Dr. Winkelmann and the members of board of BKÄ - Union of Catholic Physicians Germany are asking You :

1)  What is the personal signification of this year of faith for You as physician?

2)  Do You see specific aspects for us as Catholic physicians, Your Catholic medical association, for the Catholic medical work in Your country and region?

3)  What are expecting  the Church, the Pope, the comunity of believers from each Catholic man andexspecially  from us as physicians and accademic people?
Where do You see a need of action / handling?

4) What should we begin now, as singolar man, als physician, as medical fellows, as medical association?

(For example:
More personal faith, to better our daily work, not to exercise silence in front of medical scandals - transplantation medicine, abortion, right for life … - more collaboration between physicians and priests and viceversa,  more spiritual formation for us and the orthers, …?)


5) Do You have proposals, own experiences, own projects?
Do You wish something?
Where do You see the necessity to act, where a chance to act as Catholic physicians here and worldwide?

Is there someone to speak about this goal in his country ("The Catholic physicians in the Year of Faith")?
Do You know of specific medical-spiritual projects in Your country, which could be interesting the physicians, medical students, dentists, psychotherapists, priests?
