the argument "Brain death" is a very important one for us!
Therefore we offer asl Catholic medical association specific informations from a view of pro-life and theology
The German Catholic medical association "BKÄ- Union of Catholic Physicians Germany" with seat in Munich has a "Working group Right for Life and Brain-death".
These doctors are active prolifers and try to safe human life and dignity, regarding the actual conception of brain-death.
They see the transplantation medicine in a critical and prolife-view and do not accept the prelevation of fresh human organs from a living corpse and with a beatening heart.
This medical group informs about scientific news of 'brain-death' and calls all physicians and the bishops in der German spoken countries to accept the new scientific situation and to stopp killing human life in the operation room:
These patients are still alive, most of them are naturally dying.
But many victims sholuld receive another intensive medical care against brain-death.

b) DECLARATION:
As Christian-Catholic phsyicians we are very skeptic aigainst the euphory of the transplantation-medicine, the donation of organs and exspecially the conception of brain-death.
Exspecially we cannot accept:
- the 'brain-death' as death of the whole man,
- the so called "model of brain-death"
Braind-death patients are not dead, they are still alive, their heart is beatening and their soul is still in their corpse.
A comment to the "model of brain-death"
The so called "model of brain-death" is medically questionable / unsupportable / out-dated.
It is to disclaim for spiritual-religious reasons too.
The actual model of brain-death is purely orientated for purpose.
The aim is to have a juridical base, which allows the explantation of fresh human organs from a living patient (heart, lungs, kidneys, ...) , which is decleared 'dead'
Heavyly problematic and urgently to be revisioned:
The "Common declaration of the German Episopal Conference and the Protestant Church from 1990 regarding the donation of organs"
Gerade diese Förderung seitens der Kirchen führt zu immer aggressiveren Methoden der Organgewinnung, indem man die Organe eiligst bei NHBD-Spendern herausoperiert.
(Opfer mt Herzstillstand, jedoch bei nicht gesichertem 'Hirntod'!).
